Watches with complications and multiple features are great for times when you’re on the road, in the air, or riding the waves. But they’re a bit of overkill when you’re tending the garden, biking with the kids, or burning steaks on the grill.
Enter the new Archimede Outdoor, a stylish but stripped-down wristwatch that’s rugged enough for everyday use, yet thin and light enough not to get in the way of whatever you’re doing. The clean and luminous dial and hands are easy to read in any light, and a screw-down crown keeps the Outdoor water resistant to 200 meters. Inside, the ultra-reliable Swiss Sellita SW200 movement provides precise and durable timekeeping.
The Outdoor weighs just 70 grams with leather strap (120 grams with steel bracelet), and the case measures 38.5mm in diameter and 10.5mm thick. Both the leather strap and steel bracelet can be extended for use over a jacket, making the Outdoor one very practical, yet eye-catching, watch for everyday use. And with retail prices of $675 (leather strap) and $745 (steel bracelet), it would be a shame not to buy both.
