NAMM 2011 kicked off with a twang at Fender's annual pre-show party. The not-so-intimate get-together featured appearances by Dani Harrison, present to celebrate the release of Gretsch's new George Harrison model, Eric Johnson (who wowed the room with an impromptu jam alongside E Street Band guitarist Nils Logfren), Eddie Van Halen, former Doobie Brothers guitarist Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, Conan O'Brien guitarist Jimmy Vivino, and many others.
Pictured here are two exquisite, one-of-a-kind Fender Custom Shop guitars. The beautiful inlay work on the first Telecaster is courtesy of Master Builder Yuri Shishkov, while the ingenious Chris-Craft guitar, boat and case set is the handiwork of Master Builder John Cruz.
