C.F. Martin & Company has made many guitars since it was founded 183 years ago, in 1833.
And someone has been keeping count.
The famed guitar maker recently celebrated the creation of its two-millionth guitar, a milestone that it marked by introducing a unique model: the D-200, a commemorative instrument that features intricate inlays that replicate the gears and inner workings of a fine timepiece.
As part of its celebration, Martin will carry the theme over to a limited-edition run of the D-200, each of which will come with a special watch made by RGM Watch Company just for D-200 owners.
Tyler Larson of the Music Is Win YouTube channel caught up with Chris Martin IV, Martin’s chairman and CEO, at Winter NAMM 2017 to get the complete story behind the D-200.
