Rubato Lassie

Rubato Guitars, a South African company founded by the father-son duo of Roger and Oliver Lambson, has introduced its first instrument, the Lassie.

Three years in the making, Rubato's Lassie features a body and neck that are integrated into a single shell, and constructed with carbon fiber. The carbon fiber also means that the guitar weighs in at just five and a half pounds.

The Lassie's neck has a shallow, curved ‘C’ profile, a flame maple compound radius fretboard and unrestricted access up to the 24th fret.

Elsewhere, the guitar also comes with a pair of Porter mini-humbuckers, Grover Mini Rotomatic locking tuners, a Hipshot fixed bridge, a single volume and tone knob and a three-way pickup selector.

The Rubato Lassie is available now for $3,921.
