Supro has announced its new Blues King 8 combo amp.
A rendition of the low-wattage Supro amplifiers that were produced during the mid-1950s in Chicago, the Blues King 8 features a single watt of power, a Class-A all-tube signal path, a custom 8” speaker and vintage-style wood cabinetry.
Designed for home practice and studio use, the amp features a single 12AX7 preamp tube and a 12AU7 triode in the power amp section. The amp's front panel controls include volume, tone and master volume, along with a footswitchable boost function that adjusts the tube preamp's gain.
The Blues King 8 also features a line output located before the master volume, allowing it to function as an outboard tube distortion unit feeding another amp or DAW.
The Supro Blues King 8 combo amp is available now for $299.
