Chad Brownlee is a Canadian country musician who also happens to be a former ice hockey defenseman.
His two passions have come together in this unusual guitar made from more than 20 Sher-Wood hockey sticks. The guitar even includes trim made from a hockey puck and features Canadian maple fretboard and neck.
Brownlee is playing the guitar on his tour for his new album, When the Lights Go Down. The tour runs through April 4, and along the way he plans to have the guitar signed by artists and celebrities.
At the tour’s end, the guitar will be auctioned off, with proceeds going to the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation, which provides programs to help children from economically disadvantaged homes see themselves and their opportunities in a more favorable light.
