In addition to unveiling its massive, 20-strong Modern and Original collections earlier this week, Gibson has unveiled another, more exclusive new instrument, the 60th Anniversary 1959 Les Paul Standard.
Featuring laser-scanned dimensions, chemically-recreated plastics and color-matched shades of sunburst, Gibson says that the guitar is nothing short of a "clone" of its predecessor.
The guitar features Custombucker Alnico III pickups in the neck and bridge, a No-Wire ABR-1 bridge and a solid mahogany, Authentic '59 Medium C-Shape neck with 22 historic medium-jumbo frets. The guitar is available in Factory Burst, Cherry Teaburst, Green Lemon Fade finishes, among others.
The Gibson 60th Anniversary 1959 Les Paul Standard is available now for $6,499.
