Last Friday, Fender teased a major guitar launch on its YouTube channel, releasing a video promising that you'll "never play a Fender the same way again." Now, the curtains have opened to unveil Fender's latest line of electric guitars, the Ultra series.

Featuring redesigned body contours, with back body curves and a sculpted neck heel, the Ultra series is a continuation of the company's now-discontinued American Elite series.

Each model in the Ultra series features a new, "Modern D" neck with a 10-14” compound-radius fretboard and “extremely” rolled edges.

In the sonic department, there's a new overwound Double Tap Humbucker on the HSS Strat, the first-ever noiseless Jazzmaster pickups, plus Noiseless pickups that have been re-voiced to Ultra specs, and are available in Hot and Vintage configurations. A treble-bleed circuit and advanced wiring options appear on all Ultra series models via S-1 Switches.

New finishes - Cobra Blue, Mocha Burst, Texas Tea, Arctic Pearl, Aged Natural, Plasma Red Burst and Ultraburst - also abound.

You can read more about all four of the new Ultra series models below.
