Two weeks ago, it was announced that longtime Slayer guitarist Kerry King had joined the Dean family. At the time, Dean promised that it would begin its collaboration with King with a run of 50 signed, USA-made guitars. Now, that limited-edition guitar has been unveiled.
The Dean USA Kerry King V Limited Edition features a "Kerry King V"-shaped mahogany body with a beveled maple top, Kerry King spec C-shape three-piece maple neck and a 24 jumbo-fret ebony fingerboard with pearl, stone and ebony Kerry King custom inlays and fiber optic LED side dots.
Elsewhere, the guitar features a Kahler KFK signature bridge, Floyd Rose R2 nut and Grover tuners.
Sonically, it packs a Sustainiac pickup at the neck and an EMG 81 pickup with a PA2 Preamp Booster at the bridge.
The Dean Kerry King V is finished in Black Satin with a Gloss Red Cross design, and a matching headstock.
The Dean USA Kerry King V Limited Edition guitar is available now - in a run of 50 pieces - for $8,666.
