D'Angelico has unveiled its new Deluxe Bob Weir Bedford guitar.
The company's second collaboration with the former Grateful Dead and current Dead & Company guitarist—following the 2017 Bob Weir Signature SS—the Deluxe Bob Weir Bedford is D'Angelico's first solid-body signature model.
“Everybody is the sum total of their experiences and what they've gathered along the way," Weir said of the guitar in a statement. "That's what you carry with you. That's your wealth. And I put my wealth of experience into this design here with the Bedford.
"Somebody had to do it! Somebody had to make a guitar that has these features," he continued. "You know it really has more variety of tones than any guitar I can think of.”
The guitar features two Seymour Duncan P-90s with a Lollar Blonde single-coil nestled in the middle. The guitar's standard five-way blade features an added blender pot, allowing players to mix in whichever pickup isn't selected. The guitar is available in a Matte Stone finish.
The D'Angelico Deluxe Bob Weir Bedford is available now for $1,999.
