Former Judas Priest guitarist K.K. Downing treated fans to his trove of Seventies- and Eighties-era Priest gear last November, when he uploaded the video “Toys in the Attic.” That video featured several of Downing’s Flying Vs as well as a Marshall amp and pedal board.
Downing later uploaded the sequel, “Toys in the Attic Vol. 2,” in which he shows off a range of axes, from his Eighties Hamers up to his recent KxK models.
You can see both videos below.
As the founding guitarist of Judas Priest, Downing performed with the group from 1968 to 2011. Around the time of his departure, Downing noted, “There had been an ongoing breakdown in working relationships between myself, elements of the band and management for some time.” He said there were at least “21 reasons” why he left Priest, but didn’t go into detail. He subsequently performed on the 2012 tribute album Who Are You? An All Star Tribute to the Who.
