YouTube member DeanSwirled likes to apply swirl paint treatments to a range of objects, including guitars. The process involves floating acrylic paint on a bath of water (usually with starch or borax added), then dipping the guitar body slowly into the bath and fully immersing it. Once that’s done, the paint on the surface is pushed out of the way with bunched-up paper or rags, so that the guitar can be removed without any more paint being applied on the way out.
