The headphone portion of the HFI-700 HSD utilizes Ultrasone’s patented S-Logic™ technology which provides incredible sound and stereo image plus super low distortion, likened to listening to near field monitors. Ultrasone's unique driver positioning allows professionals to listen at lower sound pressure levels, significantly reducing fatigue and protecting your ears. Broadcasters will appreciate this renowned feature, especially after listening with them for hours on end, day after day. The microphone portion of the headset utilizes a DPA miniature head-worn microphone, which are well-known to be the best sounding microphones of their kind. Accurate reproduction, tiny size, and their ability to handle the high SPL of an excited play-by-play and color team are their hallmarks. Choices in color, pick-up pattern and rugged construction make this combination the best choice a professional broadcasting headset. The DPA 4088 (cardioid) or DPA 4066 (omni) microphone is joined to the headphone with an articulating mount and disconnect that allows for stable positioning and quick field changes. The six-foot cable terminates to a fan out with a ¼" stereo plug for monitoring and a 3-pin female XLR for the microphone. 5V - 50V phantom power is required for the microphone. Custom cable length and connector termination is available.
“Ultrasone and DPA came together to specifically address concerns of broadcast professionals today when producing events in less than perfect environments”, explains Cathy Kelly, President of Ultrasone of America, LLC. “We took feedback from broadcast and production professionals from top companies such as Westwood One, ESPN, Fox, CBS, TNT, and AOL/Time Warner, and developed the HFI-700 HSD based on their recommendations and needs. This product promises to turn heads in the industry.”
Ultrasone’s award-winning headphones feature patented S-Logic™ technology, which provides a unique surround-sound perspective, and are also designed to significantly reduce sound pressure on the human ear by up to 40%. Moreover, Ultrasone’s patented PROline technology blocks up to 98% of harmful EMF (electro-magnetic frequencies) radiation, making their headphones the best sounding and safest headphones in the world.
