Peter Green is widely regarded as one of the finest guitarists of his generation. His virtuoso blues playing was an integral part of the sound of the original Fleetwood Mac, which he founded in 1967. In the early '70s Green left the band and was to spend much of the next three decades in the wilderness.

Re-emerging in the late ’90s, performing with Peter Green Splinter Group between 1997 and 2004, Green and his group recorded seven albums all steeped in the legendary guitarist's blues-rock styling. This 2CD set collects the best recordings from all of these albums for the first time.
Highlights include tracks from the W.C. Handy award winning album Hotfoot Powder, guest appearances from Paul Rodgers, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush, Dr John, and Hubert Sumlin and live renditions of the Fleetwood Mac classic 'The Green Manalishi'.
