Musicians entering Nevolution compete for the ultimate prize; a record deal, recording time on a Neve large format console, a music video, an international platform, and music equipment from the best audio companies. No other online competition offers musicians the opportunity to follow in their hero's footsteps and record their tracks on a Neve console.
Co-sponsored by Gibson, SAE, 301 Studios, Sound On Sound, Emu, Sennheiser, Neumann, 301 Records, Vintage King, AudioFanzine, Soundcheck, and Karma Downloads - Nevolution is the world's greatest ever online battle of the bands competition.
Nevolution starts with four online heats. An important component of the competition is that the public play an active role in deciding which acts win the heats. The winners, as chosen by members of the public, will be rewarded with equipment from the co-sponsors and get the opportunity to compete in the final.
Neve expect the final selection to be the real challenge and have enlisted top music industry professionals and platinum selling producers such as Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, VP of A&R at Def Jam Records, and Valgier Sigurdsson, Bjork's producer, to join the industry led panel that will select the winning act.
Great music, originality and an mp3 is all that is required to enter Nevolution. From rock to hip hop to nu-disco, contestants can be from a range of genres, but the songs entered must be entirely their own work. Nevolution will attract the best musicians from around the globe and the competition is going to be fierce.
Like any competition, there are rules and regulations that must be observed. A full list of terms and conditions can be found on www.neve.eu. Observe the rules and the rewards are evident, a record deal, studio time on a Neve console, Gibson Guitars, Sennheiser mics, Emu kit and worldwide exposure via Karma Downloads. Get your MP3 ready.
The Nevolution commences on the 1st of July 2006.
