Terry Simms

September 19, 2005

Background: Originally inspired by Deep Purple, Dokken, and Megadeth, Simms’ real turning point occurred when he heard Yngwie Malmsteen’s Marching Out. Currently, Simms works as a foundry supervisor—which leaves little time for music—but he hopes to begin recording his own instrumental CD soon. Armed with a full battery of shred chops, Simms’ playing at times sounds like Michael Schenker, Yngwie Malmsteen, Uli Jon Roth, and George Lynch.
