Steve Vai joins

January 4, 2013
Launched in September 2012 with the endorsement of Dweezil Zappa, is a guitar registry which has already attracted members from 45 countries around the world. The idea is to establish an international database of guitars created by members who register pictures of their instruments together with other details such as serial number, make, model, and a full description. If a guitar should become lost or stolen then the member can indicate that clearly on the guitar’s site profile. That information is visible to anyone searching theguitarvaults who can then contact the member via the site with details, which may hopefully lead to the guitar’s recovery.
Dweezil Zappa introduces theguitarvaults:
Steve Vai is lending his support by joining theguitarvaults and registering his own collection.
Vai said:

“I’m joining theguitarvaults and registering all of my guitars. It’s a simple idea that makes you think ‘why has no-one ever done this before?’

I have a lot of guitars that have their own interesting stories, which makes them unique. Every one of them has a personality of its own. If anything ever happened to any of them I’d like to think there was some realistic hope of getting it back and theguitarvaults offers that possibility".
Steve has started registering his extensive collection with his main go-to guitar for 20 years -‘EVO’
