KNOBS Volume, 6-position Tweak switch, Gain
SOUNDS This sturdily constructed pedal
offers multiple flavors of fuzz, now with
increased output level. In lieu of a typical
tone control, a rotary Tweak switch selects
one of six presets, each of which interacts
with the Gain control differently. The Tweak
switch spans relatively thin sounds to considerably
meatier ones—though all settings
bulk-up and sing with mega-sustain when
the Gain control is cranked. The Tweak Fuzz
doesn’t clean up particularly well, and individual
note definition is only moderately
good—but overall, the sounds are tight,
fat, and punchy, boasting a lively squarewave
edge that endows them with true vintage
WHO’S IT FOR? Anyone desiring classic
fuzz sounds six ways to Sunday.
