Reunion Blues Continental

December 2, 2009
To call the Continental ($249 retail/$169 street) a gig bag doesn’t do justice to this incredibly robust and well designed case, which features a tough Quadraweave exterior with corded edges and seams, a 1"-thick Flexoskeleton (which keeps the case rigid), reinforced impact panels, scuff-resistant knurled abrasion grids on the top and bottom, and a comfy handle with a weight-distributing foam core. Other details include backpack straps that retract into a zippered pocket (how cool is that?), a laptop-sized multi-pocket on the front, a thick, diamond-pattern padded interior with a locking neck brace system, and a long zippered pocket on the back for convenient storage of straps, cords, strings, etc. The Continental costs a little more, but it may well be the most efficient, protective, and rugged soft case you can buy.
