According to the Rolling Stones

Edited by Dora Lowenstein and Philip Dodd
The title of this book should have been “According to Some Rolling Stones.” A collection of interviews conducted during the November 2002 through May 2003 Forty Licks tour, this tome celebrates the recollections of the current lineup: Charlie Watts (who is listed as the book’s “consulting editor”), Ronnie Wood, Keith Richards, and Mick Jagger. The omission of past quotes from the late Brian Jones and the late Ian Stewart—as well as input from surviving ex-members Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor—makes for a rather incomplete history of the band. But, hey, if you’re a casual fan/collector who already owns the official Stones leather tour jacket and commemorative program, then this photo-rich volume will look real slick on your rock and roll coffee table. Chronicle Books.
