Phish will kick off an extensive summer tour on June 11th at Toyota Park in Chicago, IL. An online ticket request period is currently underway at phish.portals.musictoday.com/ and will end on Friday, March 26th, at 11:59 p.m. EST. Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, April 2nd. For full details, visit phish.com. The band performed Genesis' "Watcher of the Skies" and "No Reply at All" last night at the 25th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and guitarist/vocalist Trey Anastasio had the privilege of inducting the group. Last year's summer tour - the band's first in five years - included Phish's first appearance at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, described by The New York Times as a "euphoric three-hour set...full of giddy momentum, taking on Phish's more elaborately composed songs like "Chalkdust Torture," "Divided Sky," "Stash," "You Enjoy Myself" and "Wilson." "[Phish] raced through some of its most technical, risky compositions, ducking and diving in four-way syncopation that illuminated the many hours the band has spent rehearsing," said The Denver Post in a review of a concert at Red Rocks. "In fact, everything is back on the table now, with Phish's historic four-nighter at Red Rocks already revealing a stronger-than-ever band willing to tear down and rebuild old favorites." After the sold-out summer tour, Phish delved into another ambitious undertaking: Festival 8. Held October 30th, 31st and November 1st at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA, it was the band's eighth festival and attracted over 40,000 fans. Highlights from the celebration are captured in the new film, Phish 3D, which will be released in theatres this April. The group played eight sets over the course of the weekend, including its first-ever full acoustic set and, reviving a longtime Phish tradition, a Halloween set that featured them donning a "musical costume," covering a full album by another band. This year's selection was a double album - the Rolling Stones' 1972 classic, Exile On Main Street. Complete ticketing and theatre information for Phish3D will be announced shortly and fans can sign up to receive email updates at www.phish3dmovie.com. Phish has released 12 studio albums as well as a series of 46 complete live concert CDs. Its series of 146 full concert downloads is currently available on livephish.com. Joy, its latest studio album, was recorded with Steve Lillywhite, who produced the band's Billy Breathes (1996) and albums by U2, Dave Matthews Band and the Rolling Stones. Hailed by Rolling Stone as "a genuinely great album," it was the first non-archival release on JEMP Records,an independent record label created by the band in 2005. The label's initial function was to release live concerts in CD, DVD and digital formats from Phish's extensive archives, which are located in Burlington, VT.PHISH SUMMER 2010 U.S. TOUR Date City/State Venue6/11 Chicago, IL Toyota Park6/12 Cuyahoga Falls, OH Blossom Music Center6/13 Hershey, PA Hersheypark Stadium6/15 Portsmouth, VA nTelos Pavilion at Harbor Center6/17 Hartford, CT Comcast Theatre6/18 Hartford, CT Comcast Theatre6/19 Saratoga Springs, NY Saratoga Performing Arts Center6/20 Saratoga Springs, NY Saratoga Performing Arts Center6/22 Mansfield, MA Comcast Center6/24 Camden, NJ Susquehanna Bank Center6/25 Camden, NJ Susquehanna Bank Center6/26 Columbia, MD Merriweather Post Pavilion6/27 Columbia, MD Merriweather Post Pavilion6/29 Canandaigua, NY CMAC7/1 Raleigh, NC Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion7/2 Charlotte, NC Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre7/3 Alpharetta, GA Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre @ Encore Park7/4 Alpharetta, GA Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre @ Encore Park8/5 Berkeley, CA Greek Theatre8/6 Berkeley, CA Greek Theatre8/7 Berkeley, CA Greek Theatre8/9 Telluride, CO Telluride Town Park8/10 Telluride, CO Telluride Town Park8/12 Noblesville, IN Verizon Wireless Music Center8/13 Noblesville, IN Verizon Wireless Music Center8/14 East Troy, WI Alpine Valley Music Theatre8/15 East Troy, WI Alpine Valley Music Theatre8/17 Wantagh, NY Nikon Theater at Jones Beach8/18 Wantagh, NY Nikon Theater at Jones Beach
