The new Gretsch Brian Setzer Black Phoenix features a 17" x 2 1/2" body with 1959 Trestle body bracing, allowing for added sustain and reduced feedback. Two TV Jones Classic Filter'Tron pickups come standard on this model, with a wider pole spacing on the neck pickup for enhanced string-to-string balance and true, vintage Filter'Tron tone and response. It also features "Hot-Rod" circuitry (simply a Master Volume and Tone control) that provides a wide open tonal effect.
Additional features include a pinned Adjusto-matic bridge with adjustable saddles for tuning stability and individual intonation with the Bigsby B6C vibrato tailpiece. Schaller strap locks and Grover Imperial machine heads are standard equipment, and the gloss black nitrocellulose lacquer finish is accented by silver sparkle body, neck and headstock binding.
