TI:ME is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to assist music educators in applying music technology to improve the effectiveness of music instruction at all levels. For a $75 fee, music teachers will have the opportunity to work with leading music technology experts and to use computers and music software to experience the true value of technology in the music curriculum.
“Music Player and TI:ME are the best of both worlds,” said John Dunphy, TI:ME Executive Director. “The New York show will bring products and product demonstration into the world of music education and the music educators will have a real opportunity to share their ‘real world’ teaching needs with the people who can make their dreams come true.”
TI:ME’s 2005 conference will be held on the first day of Music Player Live (October 21, 2005), where instructors and music educators will use the synergy of music education and music technology to come together in a rich environment of technological innovation. Expert clinicians will provide a wealth of information for novices, intermediate, and advanced users of various technologies. Students will be encouraged to attend Music Player Live!’s 3-day event as well with a special $15 student ticket price.
“Music Player Live! will include many education-related technology sessions,” said Tom Rudolph, President of TI:ME. “It will be an important conference for music educators to attend."
Music Player Live! will be held on Oct. 21-23, 2005, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in midtown Manhattan. The event will follow the format from last year’s successful Bass Player Live!, with three days of exhibits, live performances and interviews, lessons and panels. The content is aimed at guitarists, bassists, keyboardists, and recording enthusiasts at every skill level
Music Player Live! provides a fantastic opportunity for musicians interested in improving their skills and knowledge to get hands-on experience with the most up-to-date equipment as well as vintage gear, while listening to the advice and techniques of top professional musicians.
“Music Player Live! is designed to connect musicians and potential new players with the products and technology used to make music,” said Valerie Pippin, Events Director for Music Player Productions. “This event is geared at not only Music Player's core audience of experienced musicians, but beginners, and students — groups that trade shows and other music events cannot deliver.”
The mission of Music Player Live! is to provide quality content, performances, and exhibits to its core audience, and also to make passionate musicians out of people who have the interest but who may never have played a bass, guitar, or keyboard, or who may never have recorded their own music.
