Midwest Music Summit To Take Place August 10-12

July 27, 2006

"We are truly excited about the 2006 edition of the Midwest Music Summit," commented Josh Baker, the event's founder and organizer. "Once again we have managed to put together an incredible and diverse line-up of artists and industry executives. The response and early wristband sales has been positive, as this event continues to be the summer's 'must-attend' music conference."

The Midwest Music Summit spotlights national acts and unsigned artists that encompass various musical styles including rock, pop, folk, blues, R&B, Americana, Hip Hop, and Electronica to Goth, Indie Rock, Jam, Metal, Acoustic, Experimental and many more. Over 300 bands will perform on 20 stages at locations in and around Broad Ripple Village (Indianapolis). “At the request of the attendees of past Midwest Music Summit’s we have decided to centralize the event and have chosen the Broad Ripple area as the focal point of the event, this will make it easier for attendees to go from venue to venue,” said Baker. "In its sixth year, the Midwest Music Summit is becoming a part of the rich cultural fabric of our community. To be a successful city in arts and culture, we must promote and foster original, local and live musical opportunities. MMS is seeking to do that for musician in Indianapolis, as well as artists from around the country," said Steve Campbell, Deputy Mayor of Indianapolis.
