gp0810_riffs_LW1_nr“I USE TRIANGLE-SHAPED picks that are like Fender thins, but not made by Fender,” explains Mountain Man Leslie West.

“The corners break off sometimes, but instead of throwing the picks away when that happens, I use them to get high harmonics. The jagged edges let me make the pitch jump six or seven times higher, though I didn’t do that originally when I made the octave jumps with Mountain.”
