He had just returned home from playing at a jam session. He was at the top of his game, having just released a new CD with another master of the B-3, Joey DeFrancesco. The pair had been performing together, and had a tour planned. Our condolences go out to JJimmy's family and friends, and to players around the world whose lives were touched by his music.
