His guitar playing and vocals—along with occasional trumpet outings—on such ’20s- and ’30s-era tunes as “Pennies from Heaven,” “Autumn in New York,” and “Time on My Hands” are all quite revealing of the deep and wide-ranging talent that Healy possessed. This album has kind of a melancholy vibe, but the playing is solid, and it merits a place in your jazz collection. Stony Plain.
