Jeff Beck had an amazing 2010 and it looks like 2011 is going to be even better. Last June, Beck gave a stirring performance alongside The Imelda May Band at the Iridium Jazz Club in New York, paying his respects to the late, great guitarist Les Paul. On February 22, Rock ‘n’ Roll Party (Honoring Les Paul) will be released on Blu-Ray, DVD, and CD from Eagle Rock Entertainment and ATCO prior to Beck taking this “party” on the road. “The Rock ‘n’ Roll Party” Tour kicks off on March 24 in Washington D.C. with Beck once again performing Les Paul classics with The Imelda May Band. Beck and May enchanted the 2010 Grammy Awards audience with their duet of Paul’s “How High the Moon.” Fans can expect to hear this classic song, as well as many other rock ‘n’ roll hits on this tour. After finishing the tour in San Francisco, CA on April 9th, Beck will re-join his celebrated Emotion & Commotion band (Jason Rebello, Rhonda Smith, and Narada Michael Walden) for a tour of North America beginning on April 13 in Salt Lake City. The tour will also include stops at Nashville’s famous Ryman Auditorium and Beck’s second appearance at the New Orleans Jazz Festival as well as performing at the West Palm Beach Sunfest on May 1st. Beck’s latest album Emotion & Commotion has been nominated for five Grammy® awards, making him the most nominated artist in this year’s Rock category. His nominated work includes Best Rock Album, Best Rock Instrumental Performance (“Hammerhead”), Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals (“I Put A Spell On You” with Joss Stone), Best Pop Instrumental performance (“Nessun Dorma”), and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical (for Steve Lipson). Beck is also nominated in the Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals category for “Imagine,” his collaboration with Herbie Hancock, Pink, India.Arie, Seal, Konono No 1 & Oumou Sangare. Beck has previously won five Grammy awards. “Rock ‘n’ Roll Party (Honoring Les Paul)” Tour Dates with The Imelda May Band: March 24 9:30 Club Washington, D.C.25 Keswick Theater Philadelphia, PA*26 The Wang Centre Boston, MA28 Beacon Theatre New York, NY29 State Theatre New Brunswick, NJ31 Michigan Theatre Ann Arbor, MI April 1 Cadillac Palace Theatre Chicago, IL2 Cadillac Palace Theatre Chicago, IL**4 Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie Grand Prairie, TX5 Austin City Limits Live at Moody Theatre Austin, TX8 Fox Theater Pomona, CA9 The Fillmore San Francisco, CA *second show added that evening**new date, not previously announced The additional Jeff Beck 2011 US tour dates not previously announced are:April13 The Depot Salt Lake City, UT15 Paramount Theatre Denver, CO16 Uptown Theatre Kansas City, MO 17 State Theatre Minneapolis, MN19 Devos Hall Grand Rapids, MI21 Casino Rama, Orilla, Ontario 22 University Of Buffalo Centre For The Arts Buffalo, NY23 Carnegie Music Hall Of Oakland Pittsburgh, PA 26 Louisville Palace Theatre Louisville, KY 27 Ryman Auditorium Nashville, TN 29 New Orleans Jazz And Heritage Festival New Orleans, LA May1 Sunfest West Palm Beach, FL More dates TBA
