Age: 46Styles: RockabillyInfluences: Scotty Moore, Cliff Gallup, Eddie CochranMain Guitar: Guild X160Location: Kansas City, MOBackground: Holopter started out playing classic rock, later moving through the punk and ska scenes before deciding to follow his heart and play rockabilly. Assembling the Rumblejetts in the late ’90s, Holopter hit the road, and honed his chops playing throughout the Midwest. The band performed at Sun Studios’ 50th Anniversary of Rock and Roll Reunion in 2004, and just recorded its third CD at the legendary Memphis studio. A consummate guitarist in this genre, Holopter’s roots are deep, and his rich, clean, twangin’ tones bring to mind such greats as Scotty Moore, James Burton, Eddie Cochran, and Gene Vincent.
