Iron and Wine Limited Edition Vinyl Release Due November 25th

Iron and Wine will release a limited edition vinyl recording of their KCRW Morning Becomes Eclectic session November 25th, 2011 as part of the 2nd annual “Back To Black” Friday Record Store Day event. Just 3000 vinyl copies will be available only at indie record stores. The session, which was recorded earlier this year at The Village Recording Studio and hosted by KCRW’s Music Director, Jason Bentley, was originally broadcast live in Los Angeles January 26th on 89.9 FM and at The session includes an interview with Sam Beam, the front man who goes by the stage name Iron and Wine, along with songs from the band’s latest album, Kiss Each Other Clean, as well as earlier releases, including Walking Far From Home (single release), The Shepherd’s Dog, In the Reins (with Calexico), Woman King, and Our Endless Numbered Days. Iron and Wine also have a series of upcoming shows this winter, including KCRW’s “Are Friends Eclectic” Holiday Benefit Show in Los Angeles at the Orpheum Theatre December 3rd. Tour dates listed below.

Kiss Each Other Clean, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Charts upon its release January 25th 2011, was produced by Brian Deck and is the fourth studio album from Iron and Wine. The album was named a fan favorite for 2011 by NPR listeners. Touring with a full 10-piece band, including a horn section and backup singers, Iron and Wine has been performing all year to sold-out audiences across the U.S., UK. and Europe, garnering critical praise along the way.
