0.0000.ibanezprestigeIbanez has been responsible for many milestone creations over the course of its rich history of guitar building, but few have been as widely celebrated as its esteemed Prestige line, which celebrates 10 years in the Ibanez lineup.

Originally offered in the late 90s as special limited production models, Prestige guitars rapidly developed a loyal following, which earned them an integral position in the Ibanez guitar lineup by 2000.

The first Prestige to appear in the United States was the RG3120, which featured a bound solid mahogany body, book-matched flamed maple top, DiMarzio pickups, and hand sculpted Wizard neck. As Ibanez celebrates 10 years of Prestige guitars, homage is paid to the original RG3120 as inspiration for these special 10th Anniversary RG Prestige models.

Crafted with a dedication to quality and precision only found in Japan, the Prestige RG1421 is available in Marine Blue Burst and Black Haze Burst and features the faster, thinner Wizard HP neck, a deep flamed maple top with matching headstock, a hand-selected basswood body and comes equipped with the Ibanez designed Tight End fixed bridge with a lower profile for superior playing comfort.

The Prestige RG1420F, available in Black Haze Burst and Red Flame Burst, offers the same features as the RG1421 but with the widely acclaimed Ibanez Edge Pro Bridge double locking lower profile bridge.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Prestige, Limited Edition RG’s include a free gig bag.
