To kick-off this summer’s Warped Tour, Guitar Center has teamed up with one of the nation’s hottest festivals to gear out aspiring musicians with all the essentials, according to Jack Sonni, vice president of marketing communication for Guitar Center.
“The ‘Warp Your Band’ promotion gives musicians the tools they need to reach their musical dreams and aspirations,” said Sonni. “Outfitting a customer with these one of a kind instruments aligns with the independent spirit of the Warped Tour. We hope to see the winner and his friends on the Warped Main Stage in the future.”
The “Warp Your Band” promotion will give away a full set of instruments including an Ernie Ball Custom Stingray Bass autographed by MXPX, a Schecter S1 See-Thru Cherry Guitar signed by the Transplants, a Schecter S1 Elite Black Cherry Guitar signed by Avenged Sevenfold, and a Tama Rockstar Drum Kit with Zildjian Cymbals signed by the All-American Rejects.
“As a part of our commitment to keep things fresh on the Warped Tour, our partnership with Guitar Center speaks directly to the interests of our fans as it not only provides a fantastic music-related prize, but also promotes some of the country’s best bands,” said Warped Tour Founder and Organizer Kevin Lyman. “We pay close attention to what our fans want in terms of music and activities, and similar to the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands that gives local acts the opportunity to perform alongside major bands at each tour stop, the Guitar Center autographed instrument giveaway further supports young musicians.”
The month-long June promotion will culminate with the winner being announced in mid-July. Consumers can submit entries at any Guitar Center location or online at www.guitarcenter.com.
