In addition, registered users can take advantage of video conferencing, chat rooms, forums, and a messaging service. You can present your own projects and demos, and even hang up a shingle as a session ace for hire. Register online for a free standard account. . . . Line 6 offers two new USB interfaces designed especially for guitar, bass, and vocals. The Toneport series consists of the UX1, UX2, and Gearbox modeling software—a collection of virtual guitar, bass amp, and cabinet models, as well as stompbox effects and virtual mic preamps. The UX1 sports a single XLR mic input and preamp, a jack for guitar or bass, stereo line inputs and outputs, a headphone jack, and an analog merge monitoring input. The more deluxe UX2 adds a pair of analog VU meters, a second mic input and preamp, phantom power, S/PDIF out, dual footswitch jacks for controlling start/stop and punch in/out, and independent volume controls for headphones and main outputs.
