Background: At age ten, Ferraro started out as a drummer before buying a Realistic
hollowbody guitar. Starting out playing ’60s rock, he soon joined local band THC. In his senior year in high school Ferraro’s parents moved to New York and bought him a ’70 Gibson Les Paul, and shortly thereafter he enjoyed regional success. Back in Florida with his current band, Cutback, Ferraro has returned to his early roots playing surf instrumentals. On their recent CD release, Hang Six, Ferraro and company have penned some fantastic originals, which reveal Ferraro to be knee-deep in the surf, with all of the nuances one would expect from an accomplished surf guitarist.
