Dweezil Zappa Dedicates Concert to Guitarist Jeff Fish
March 13, 2012
At his recent Zappa Plays Zappa show in Napa, California, Dweezil Zappa opened his show talking about the bravely faced challenges of guitarist Jeff Fish from the Livermore, California, rock band LunaFish. Jeff has had a long recovery from serious complications arising from routine surgery, and attended the show with great physical effort that night as his first concert outing in nearly a year.
Music from the Zappa family has been a serious part of Jeff’s personal music enjoyment and inspiration during his recovery efforts and ongoing medical care. A recent tribute concert was held by local bands, with silent auction that a included an Eric Johnson Fuzz Face autographed pre-production model courtesy of manufacturer Jim Dunlop, and items from ABC Music in Livermore. However much more help is still needed. A three-song EP tracked pre-surgery featuring his band, guitar playing skills and songwriting is now available online.
All proceeds from the EP will go for towards home medical rehabilitation expenses, and is available by download at www.cdbaby.com/lunafish1
