Danelectro Fab Fuzz

September 20, 2011

$29 retail/$25 street

KNOBS Volume, Fuzz, Tone

SOUNDS Imagine a pedal that is part distortion box, part fuzz, with a musical tone control, gobs of output, and good sustain, all in a nifty little plastic purple box that looks like a space pod. Now imagine it costs 25 bucks. The Fab kind of sounds like a Big Muff with some Boss DS-1 slathered on top—yum! It might not stand up to a lot of abuse, but this is an insane deal.

WHO’S IT FOR? Frugal players who like their fuzz on the distortion side.
