This lesson shares a tasty 12-bar B3-style blues shuffle I play that is based around a I-IV-V blues in the key of C. The cornerstone of the progresion is the recurring two-bar, I-chord vamp (C7#9-Db9-D7b9-Db9), which features Eb as the highest note in each chord. Keep the bass line’s eighth-notes swinging and punchy, and work toward being able to phrase the chord stabs many different ways, not just in the rhythm presented here.
