The K1015’s exceptional sound quality comes from a terrific transducer compliment coupled with real power. This self-contained keyboard system incorporates a cast frame, super-duty 15-inch low frequency transducer mated with an adjustable Titanium driver for breathtaking highs. The K1015’s enclosure features Carvin’s popular tilt-back design that places the sound right where it’s wanted, and the entire enclosure is protected by a rugged Duratuff™ covering with steel side handles and a perforated steel grill to protect the drivers.
Powering the system is Carvin’s KB1000 head unit, which is capable of generating a heart-pounding 1,000 watts of power (4 ohms bridged). This powerful amplifier features seven stereo (or fourteen mono) channels with Level control, signal and peak LEDs for ample visual feedback of system status, and auto mono input switching. There are separate controls for the internal amplifiers and the DI function makes perfect, independent stage and house levels a breeze.
The new K1015’s amplifier section is extremely versatile. There is a built-in crossover for bi-amp operation, separate Amp 1 and Amp 2 controls, separate Mono switches for the DI and Main outs, a DI ground lift, a headphone jack, and a master 4-Band EQ for easy contouring of one’s sound—all of which lets keyboard players set-up for any situation quickly and easily. The back panel offers balanced quarter-inch line-outs and quarter-inch Twist-Lok™ and binding posts for simple, logical speaker connections. Rounding out the K1015’s incredible feature set is a front panel Stereo XLR direct output with level control, plus a front panel master volume and independent power amp volume control with protection and peak indicators.
Carson Kiesel, President of Carvin Corporation, offered the following thoughts on the company’s new K1015 Keyboard Amplifier, “The new K1015 Keyboard Amplifier is a comprehensive, all-in-one solution for keyboard players in search of a powerful, great sounding, and versatile sound reinforcement system capable of handling today’s sophisticated keyboard setups. This new system represents a significant step forward in self-contained, easy to move keyboard amplification systems.”
The new Carvin K1015 Keyboard Amplifier is sold factory direct at $699.99. The K1015 is available now.
