Legendary guitarist Bert Jansch will be Neil Young's special guest on a spring tour that kicked off April 15th in Durham, North Carolina, and concludes May 7th in Chicago. The tour will include a pair of performances at Boston's Wang Center and two shows at the prestigious and intimate Avery Fisher Hall in NYC's Lincoln Center. Bert will be performing songs from 2009's highly acclaimed The Black Swan and from the seminal LA Turnaround, Santa Barbara Honeymoon, and A Rare Conundrum (all reissued on both CD and handsome vinyl packages that include original artwork and new sleevenotes with newly discovered bonus tracks) as well as new material. "Bert Jansch is the best acoustic guitarist; he's my favorite anyway. For electric guitar, I'd say Jimi Hendrix. But as for acoustic guitar, Bert Jansch is on the same level as Jimi. That first record of his is epic. It came from England, and I was especially taken by The Needle of Death, such a beautiful and angry song...." - Neil YoungBert Jansch Tour Dates:4/15/11 - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham, NC4/17/11 - Landmark Theater - Richmond, VA 4/19/11 - Wang Theatre - Boston, MA 4/20/11 - Wang Theatre - Boston, MA 4/22/11 - Providence Performing Arts Center - Providence, RI4/24/11 - Avery Fischer Hall (Lincoln Center) - New York, NY4/25/11 - Avery Fischer Hall (Lincoln Center) - New York, NY4/27/11 - Hippodrome Theatre - Baltimore, MD4/28/11 - Hippodrome Theatre - Baltimore, MD4/30/11 - Tower Theatre - Philadelphia, PA5/1/11 - Tower Theatre - Philadelphia, PA5/3/11 - Arnoff Center For The Arts - Cincinnati, OH5/4/11 - Fox Theatre - Detroit, MI5/6/11 - Chicago Theatre - Chicago, IL5/7/11 - Chicago Theatre - Chicago, IL
