BassUp! focuses on bass players and the bass community in Atlanta and aims to unite the bass community while encouraging people to see the compositional and melodic possibilities of the electric bass along side its traditional role. The show is all ages welcome and will include clinics, performances, and giveaways. Clinics will begin at 1:30PM and are free admission. The performances begin at 4:30PM and admission is also free.
New to this year’s event is the Solo Bass Open Mic which will be held at Mocha Match Coffee Bar (627 East College, Ste. F, Decatur, GA 30033) on Friday, October 20, 2006. It’s a chance for the beginner, up-&-comer, or professional bassist to perform solo bass live. No audition is required. Check the website for sign-up information.
You won’t want to miss this celebration of the bass and gathering of the Atlantabass community! Visit the BassUp! website, www.bassup.net, for more information or contact the event organizer, Darren Michaels, via email at email@example.com.
