Backbone of 2005 Vans Warped Tour Courtesy of Epitaph Bands

April 19, 2005

Spearheading the Epitaph offensive will be Celtic-punks and Vans Warped Tour veterans, Dropkick Murphys. Following the release of their new CD, The Warrior's Code, these rowdy boys from Boston will be riding high and playing hard!

Continuing the Epitaph assault will be the hyper-energetic, ever-exciting, Motion CIty Soundtrack. Boasting an incredible new CD, Commit This To Memory, this band make a huge mark for themselves by tireless touring and making passionate albums. This band's set will clearly be one of the most anticipated performances of the entire tour.

Making their second appearance on the Vans Warped Tour will be the blazing hot Matchbook Romance! This foursome from Poughkeepsie, NY recently landed on the cover of Alternative Press, and their debut album, Stories And Alibis, continues to be a fan favorite!

Rounding out the main course of action for Epitaph will be Swedish pop-punk stalwarts Millencolin. Also riding the energy of a newly released album, Kingwood, Millencolin is sure to put on a striking live show consisting of new material and classics from one of the most popular catalogs in label history.

Other Epitaph bands appearing on the Vans Warped Tour are the modern waved lipstick garage-punksters Horrorpops, upstart pop-rockers The Matches, dank hard rockers From Fist to Last and gritty punk rock acts The Unseen and Left Alone.

Other notable performers include Epitaph alumni The Offspring, Transplants, Dillinger Escape Plan and a plethora of many others – Simple Plan, My Chemical Romance, Avenged Sevenfold, MXPX, Atreyu, Thrice . . .

Be sure to visit the Epitaph-Volcom-Vans-Alternative Press Compound for plenty of free giveaways and experience first hand the quadrant of fun filled stages, booths, and band hang-outs that make up the backbone of the Tour.

Enjoy the show!
