ArtistWorks, the leading interactive lifestyle social learning platform, today announced the upcoming launch of their new Acoustic Guitar 101 School. Available in early December, Acoustic Guitar 101 represents the most comprehensive free guitar lesson resource available online today.

Now anyone who wants to learn to play the guitar can access this easy-to-follow, step-by-step program that offers scores of high-definition video lessons that walk the aspiring guitar player through the fundamentals of guitar, including chords, picking, strumming, playing songs, singing while playing, and much more. Taught by respected touring guitarist Scott Law, Acoustic Guitar 101 offers free any time, anywhere access from any Internet-capable device.

With these new free lessons, would-be guitarists no longer have to travel to expensive private lessons or struggle to make sense of disjointed and random YouTube guitar lesson videos. Acoustic Guitar 101’s thoughtfully constructed series of 87 self-paced lessons lead them through a series of sequential exercises designed to get them playing real songs quickly and help them to enjoy the learning process. The school also provides complimentary practice charts, looping functionality, a metronome and more.

ArtistWorks is known for its unique Video Exchange Feedback Platform, where an average music or art lover can learn by submitting practice videos and receiving video feedback from world-renowned teaching artists like Paul Gilbert, Nathan East, Bryan Sutton, Martin Taylor, Jason Vieaux, Andreas Oberg, Andy Hall and others. Although the free Acoustic Guitar 101 lessons are pre-recorded, they lay a solid foundation for the beginning guitar player to take with them as they progress into jazz, bluegrass, rock or any of the genres offered through ArtistWorks’ successful Video Exchange guitar schools.

Currently, tens of thousands of members in nearly 100 countries have improved their playing within ArtistWorks’ 24 unique online music and art learning communities. By offering these free acoustic guitar lessons, ArtistWorks aims to bring the joy of making music to many more people around the world.

Free membership to Acoustic Guitar 101 can be obtained at FreeAcousticGuitar101.com starting December 11th, 2013.
