David Torn: An Appeal For Mick Karn and His Family

June 07, 2010

KarnI'm sorry to tell you that my dear friend & musical compatriot, Mick Karn, has been stricken with cancer. The cancer is in Stage 4, having already metastasized through his brain, lungs, stomach, and intestines.

Mick, with his wife Kyoko and young son, Metis, live in Cyprus. Their financial resources are very, very slender..... at best.

So, we've set up a fund to help him, and to assist with his family's future.

The PayPal fund is available here.

Please contribute to help the Karn family if you can.

Meanwhile, Mick is somehow still lucid, warm, and good-humored. He's remained more than a little positive, in both attitude and spirit.

Thanks for your time & attention.

P.S. For those of you who aren't familiar with Mick's music and sculpture, I hope you'll investigate further: mickkarn.net.
