Art took up guitar at age 12, started playing in bands two years later, and has dedicated himself to guitar playing ever since. Art joined GP in 1992, and, since then, has penned hundreds of articles on gear and guitarists, received a Technical & Trade Press music journalism award, and written the acclaimed Stompbox. Career highs include opening shows for Brian Setzer, Robben Ford, and Steve Morse; doing a shorthand interview with Prince; and jamming with Scotty Moore.
