What is unique or original about your approach to the guitar? I tune the guitar in straight fourths for most of my original songs. I attempt to blend influences from ’80s metal, modern heavy metal, and instrumental rock into my own sound.

What’s the best thing about playing guitar? I enjoy composing and performing the most. The incredible physical and mental challenge the guitar can provide is awesome. The transfer of energy to the instrument, and then soaking up the output is like a sport for artists—only it’s better because we get to play with electricity.

Why did you enter GPGS 2010? Recognition, validation, credibility—you name it. I’m trying to make a living as a musician.
