The Classic Rock Roll of Honour is one of the most highly respected music award ceremonies of the year, attracting the biggest names in the world of rock. Hosted by UK-based Classic Rock Magazine, the tenth annual Classic Rock Awards - the 'Classic Rock Roll Of Honour' - has announced multi-platinum Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Sammy Hagar as this year’s master of ceremonies, along with the list of nominees for the listener and fan-voted categories.

Traditionally held in the iconic Roundhouse in Camden, London, this prestigious rock‘n’roll awards ceremony is coming to America for the first time on Tuesday, November 4th. A celebration of some of the world’s most influential and respected musicians in rock, is set to take place at the Avalon, Hollywood's historic night club and music venue.

To kick things off for 2014, Sammy Hagar will serve as this year’s host. Globally known as the “Red Rocker,” Hagar is a Grammy award-winning vocalist, guitarist, songwriter and musician, a #1 New York Times Best Selling author, and a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Throughout his prolific 40-year-career as a solo artist and as a member of the groups Montrose, Van Halen and Chickenfoot, Hagar has sold more than 60 million records.  In addition to his musical endeavors, Hagar is also an auspicious entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is the founder of world-renowned Cabo Wabo tequila, Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum (an official sponsor of the Classic Rock Roll Of Honour), eight restaurants, the “Acoustic For A Cure” benefit concert and supports several children’s charities and food relief organizations. Along with hosting the 2014 Classic Rock Awards, Hagar is currently on his “A Journey Through The History Of Rock” tour, working on a new Chickenfoot album, as well as a new solo acoustic album. Previous hosts have included Alice Cooper, Gene Simmons and Duff Mckagan.

"The Classic Rock Roll Of Honour is one of music’s coolest and most prestigious events in the U.K. so I’m really excited to be hosting it for the first time in the U.S.,” said Sammy Hagar. “My goal is to keep it fun and filled with so many off-the-hook music moments that we put it on the map alongside the Grammys, VMAs and other awards ceremonies.”
