METAL SHREDDER GUS G OF THE BAND FIREWIND WAS
recently anointed by the Prince of Darkness himself, Ozzy Osbourne, to
take over the much-coveted guitar chair in Oz’s band. For more Q&A, plus
a chops-busting lesson, check out the GP/Rock House issue of Ultimate
Metal Guitar, on newsstands now.
“If there’s one player I’d love to trade
licks with,” says Gus G, “it’s probably
Al Di Meola. He is one of my
favorites and a very versatile player.
Obviously this wouldn’t be about
heavy metal, but I would love to
work with him. I’m not really a fusion
guy, but I would learn a lot and be
challenged by him, which is very
exciting for a guy like me.”
