Shooter Jennings Announces Spring Tour
|
Critically acclaimed country star Shooter Jennings announced today that he will hit the road with a string of shows to promote his highly anticipated fifth studio album, Family Man, which is being released by Entertainment One Music Group on March 13th, 2012. The tour, which he will co-headline with Cody Canada & The Departed, features special guest Uncle Lucius and kicks off on March 19th in Austin, TX (routing below- more dates to be announced).
“Writing, recording and producing this album was truly a labor of love. Each track is a piece of me and I am looking forward to getting out on the road again and performing for my fans,“ said Shooter.
Jennings recently premiered the video for “The Deed and the Dollar,” the first single off Family Man, on CMT where it instantly became the #1 viewed video on the country channel. The video also features home shot footage of Shooter with his girls, fiancé Drea de Matteo and daughter, Alabama Gypsy Rose. “The Deed and the Dollar” was released on iTunes on December 20th, 2011 and is considered by Shooter to be “the perfect love song.” As the title suggests, Family Man is Shooter's most personal and introspective album to date, focusing on his home life, the endless temptations of life on the road, his Southern heritage and upbringing, and his unique position among today's country musicians. Produced by Jennings, Family Man features appearances by Tom Morello and Eleanor Whitmore.
