“ONE THING THAT I ALWAYS TAKE
to a session is my Vox AC15 twin from
the early ’60s,” says Alanis
Morrisette guitarist Jason Orme. “That amp sounds so incredible for
recording and I’ve also used it live for
shows here in town. It just has a volume
and tone knob and if you turn it
up past about a third, it has this
beautiful natural overdrive that
every pedal on earth is trying to emulate.
I just did a record with a band
I’m in called the Desktop Rulers and I
used that Vox for just
about everything. It’s one
of those amps that
sounds amazing no matter
what guitar you plug
into it.”
