A GIBSON LES PAUL STUDIO LITE  owned, played, toured, and donated by Blondie Guitarist Paul Carbonara AUTOGRAPHED BY DEBORAH HARRY AND the band BLONDIE!

I was fortunate enough to meet the band Blondie at a show at the beautiful Wente Winery in Livermore over the summer. I was at the concert with my friend and we were grabbing a bite to eat and started talking to a security guard about Guitars Not Guns.  His name was Clay Felicitas, and he also happened to be work the Livermore Police Department as a Police Chaplin and works with at risk youth, and helps prevent gang violence. Clay said if I was interested in meeting the band to help promote Guitars Not Guns, that I should go "talk to that guy" and pointed out this gentleman talking with some people. I walked right over and introduced myself. It was Jerry Gayle, of Fairfax, California, a beautiful town in Marin County, and Jerry is one of the nicest persons I've ever met.  Jerry was immediately moved by the program when I told him about Guitars Not Guns, and said he knew the band and would introduce me and maybe they could help.  He brought my friend and myself into the private area, and introduced me to all the band members and told them about Guitars Not Guns, and what we do.

If it wasn't for Jerry, this would have never been possible! Jerry also happened to grow up together with Clem Burke, the drummer! A special thank you to Jerry Gayle for the initial introduction, that turned into this awesome auction, and Paul Carbonara for his awesome generosity.

Paul Carbonara's guitar is his personal Gibson Les Paul Studio Lite guitar.  This program runs on donations, fund raising and grants, and 100% of the proceeds will be benefiting the
Guitars not Guns music program for children. This guitar has been played all over the world with Blondie and is autographed by the band. For more information and to read Paul's comments and see the photos, visit the Blondie Guitar auction information page Bidding opens on March 4 and ends on March 13.
